About Author


C P Kothandaraman, BE (Hons. ), MS, PhD, FIE, starting as lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering of PSG College of Technology in 1958 continued to serve the college till 1991 when he retired as Professor, Head of the Department and Vice Principal. His subject areas include Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, Thermal Science and Engineering including Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Solar Energy Bio-gas Applications. Since 1985 till his retirement he has also guided teaching of CAD/CAM subjects.


His other publications are Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer, Refrigerant Tables and Charts including Air Conditioning Data and Compressible Flow Tables. He has co-authored the titles Fluid Mechanics and Machinery, Heat and Mass Transfer Data Book, Thermodynamics and Thermal Engineering, Solid and Fluid Mechanics and Computer Graphics and Design. He has also provided guidance in the design of Dust Collection Equipments, Air heaters for product drying and Heat Exchangers for Tea Processing Industry.
